ZRP Warns Against Public Violence Amidst Social Media Calls For Protests

By Kelvin Kasiwulaya

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a stern warning to the public against participating in any form of unlawful gathering or engaging in violence.

This comes after offensive messages advocating for violence and illegal gatherings have been circulating on social media platforms, particularly in the cities of Harare and Bulawayo.

National Police Spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, urged the public to disregard these messages and not to be influenced by individuals who are not resident in the country. It is believed that these messages are being circulated by external elements with malicious intent.
