The Supreme Court will hear an appeal by the independent presidential aspirant, Saviour Kasukuwere on the 27th of this month, wherein he is challenging a High Court ruling disqualifying him from contesting the August 23 election.

Three judges are expected to preside over the appeal.

A private citizen, Mr Lovedale Mangwana, initially approached the High Court challenging M Kasukuwere’s legitimacy to contest the election on the basis that he has not been in the country for over 18 months.
