Communities in Action: ZNOART invites Gweru Residents to Clean up Mkoba Cemetery

After their recent clean up of Mtapa Cemetery, the Zimbabwe National Organization of Associations and Residents Trust (ZNOART) and it’s stakeholders have anounced that they are now moving their community work to Mupanzarima Cemetery in Mkoba.

The Residents Association is also inviting all residents and relatives of those buried at the Mkoba Cemetery to come to the clean up event on Saturday 29 July 2023, at 0730 hrs.

Stakeholders who will attend this event include ZNOART Midlands province, T4G the brainchild , City of Gweru, Gweru UK Community, Mambo Development Association, Mambo Diski, One Mambo, Yulesis and Deep Roots band fans, Samkoko and band Caritate and Telone FC supporters. Residents of Mambo, Mkoba, Mtapa, Ascot, Clifton Park, and surrounding areas are also invited to participate in this noble cause.

The primary objective of the event is to clean up and beautify the Mkoba Cemetery and improve the overall quality of the area.

ZNOART Midlands Province believes that it is the responsibility of all residents to take care of their surroundings and help keep the environment clean and safe.

“We, ZNOART Midlands Province, believe that it is important to hold such events to raise awareness of environmental cleanliness and to instil a sense of community responsibility in every individual,” said the ZNOART Midlands Province representative.

The organization has also encouraged all participants to observe COVID-19 protocols and guidelines to ensure safety during the event.

“The health and safety of all participants are paramount. Everyone who intends to take part in the clean-up must observe COVID-19 safety guidelines such as social distancing, wearing face masks and washing hands regularly,” added the ZNOART representative.
