Bewildered Safaris, a leading name in Zimbabwe’s tourism industry, is making significant upgrades to its services in preparation for the upcoming festive season.
In a bid to enhance the experience for holidaymakers, the company has taken its flagship cruise boat, Bubununu, out of the water for a major facelift.
The refurbished boat is set to return to Lake Kariba in the first week of December, just in time for the peak tourist season.
Apart from Bubununu, Bewildered Safaris also operates the luxurious Mana Houseboat, a fleet of game viewing trucks, and transfer vehicles.
The company has positioned itself as a key provider of luxury yet affordable holiday packages to popular destinations such as Kariba, Mana Pools, Victoria Falls, and across Africa on overland trips.
Blessed Chalibamba, the proprietor of Bewildered Safaris, emphasized his commitment to quality service. “We want to ensure that whatever product or service we provide offers memories that last a lifetime. This is why we are investing in upgrading our boats and vehicle fleet,” Chalibamba said.
December is one of the busiest times for Kariba, with a surge in local and international tourists.
As the festive season approaches, all tourism operators are gearing up to ensure high standards of service, and Bewildered Safaris is no exception. With the upgrades, the company aims to deliver enhanced comfort and a seamless travel experience for its clients.
Mandatory Maintenance for Safety
Maintaining boats is not just a preference but a legal requirement aimed at ensuring safety on Zimbabwe’s waters.
The government has taken safety matters seriously, especially after past incidents where negligence in vessel maintenance led to accidents.
Authorities have enforced strict regulations, mandating regular inspections and servicing of boats to protect passengers and operators alike.
“Safety is our top priority,” Chalibamba noted, “which is why we adhere to all maintenance guidelines. Our customers should always feel safe when they travel with us.”
As Bewildered Safaris prepares for the festive season, other operators are also scheduled to carry out similar servicing and upgrades to their vessels, ensuring that safety and quality are upheld across the board during this peak period.
